Spiritual Harmony

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Genesis 5:24

The first thing that comes to mind when you see a picture of two people walking hand-in-hand is relationship or friendship. With God, this is the picture of spiritual harmony. Spiritual harmony is walking hand-in-hand with God. Gen5:23-24 [NLT]Enoch lived 365 years, walking in close fellowship with God. Then one day he disappeared, because God took him’. In actual fact, Christianity is all about walking with God. Do not get religious about Christianity because it is not a religion. It is actually about having a relationship with God. When you are walking with someone, you cannot go far with the person if you do not talk to the person. You cannot walk far if there is nothing going on between both you. You both would probably go off in different directions at some point. Walking with God has to do with having a personal relationship with God. Knowing God for yourself and not what your Pastor has said based on his own relationship with God. The things your Pastor says should birth a desire in you that should lead you towards seeking God yourself. What matters isn’t what your Evangelist says but what God is saying to you. God can speak to you through your Pastor and your Evangelist but you must also hear God for yourself. Having a relationship with God is so pivotal that it can make or mar the Christian walk. It is the depth of the walk with God that makes one Christian successful and the other a failure. The difference between Saul and David was that David walked with God, Saul did not. David had something going between him and God; Saul had practically nothing going with God.

Prayer [song]: Show me Your way, that I may walk with You. Show me Your way I put my trust in You. The cry of my heart is to know You Lord. To live with the touch of Your hand, stronger each day, show me Your way.

  1. Relationship. This is such a mindblowing way to look at walking with God. The God of the heavens and the earth wants a relationship with me! Love the prayer song touch. Singing to HIM makes it feel like love actually! Songs tend to linger all day

  2. So true. “The cry of my heart is to love you more…to live with the touch of Your hand, stronger each day…show me Your way!!!”
