Gift vs. Giver
Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you. Gen.22:2
Never become overly attached to the gifts and lose sight of the Giver. The building is not worth more than the builder. The builder can wake up any day and build new and more beautiful houses but the building has reached the peak of its potential and all it will ever be is a building. If you hold on to what God has given you and not hold on to the Giver of the gifts you would run into problems. So do not hold on to the positions and titles, rather hold on to God. Stop holding on to titles, it can kill you. Instead hold on to your relationship with God. Do you have a relationship with God, if you do then hold it tight; because after it is all said and done the only thing you are left with is your relationship with God. When you hold on to God, there is no position or title that God cannot give you. By simply letting go of the long awaited gift, Abraham attained a depth in blessings that you and I are still benefitting from till date. Saul had deeply offended God and instead of focusing on repenting or seeking God’s face, he was more concerned about his image before the people that God had given him. All Saul had was what God gave him which was why he wanted Samuel to stand by him and affirm him before people. David on the other hand offended God and tore his robe, went into ashes and cried before God. Two errors, one wrong response and one correct response; the reward, Saul lost his throne. The very thing he wanted to protect, just to appear good before men. You need to be delivered from the opinions of men because you can never do what God wants you to do if you are overly concerned about what people think about you. Let what God says be your number one priority. Do not remove God from your equation.
Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to stay beneath the things that you have placed above me and above the things you have placed beneath me, in Jesus Name.

Loving the Giver is the only way to keep the gifts coming. Keep focus on the Giver just because but never because of the gifts…
