And God Said: Weddings

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Gen.2:18

God said and God is still saying weddings. ‘Then the Lord God said, it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him’ [Gen.2:18 NLT]. In the New Testament, male and female are one in Christ; it is not good for the man or woman to be alone. God is saying that He will make you a help meet suitable for you. This is God’s promise; believe it and it shall come to pass in your life as it did for Adam. God decided to do this for Adam even without his knowledge. My advice to you today is believe that even as God saw Adam’s loneliness, His eyes are on today and He is preparing you for your mate and preparing your mate for you. Every one of marriageable age who desires to be married, who has not chosen to go for missions, but wants to get married reading this devotional, God has released your spouse today in Jesus Name. If you are married and reading this, join your faith with all the singles reading this and the singles that you know. God has released their spouse. Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.  If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken’ [Ecc.4:9-12]. Marriage is part of God’s plan for you, so stretch your faith and start to plan your wedding today because God says concerning you weddings.

Prayer: Father, I believe and receive Your Word of marriage concerning me by Your Spirit. Help us locate each other speedily.  Lord help me sustain my faith in this area and perfect my marriage in Jesus Name.

  1. ‘God will keep in perfect peace he whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him’. i think the part that stands out for me the most is how aware God is of our needs and the fact that He has promised to make us helpers… May God link us all to our helpers today in Jesus Name.
