Keynote To Germination III
‘The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends’ Prov.11:30
Key note to germination number six is put your trust in Jesus. That sounds simplistic but it actually isn’t. ‘But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence’ Jer.17:7. Your leaves will remain green and you will never stop producing fruit in the Name of Jesus. Your trust is like an anchor, it keeps you rooted to God. The converse is a dangerous place to be but that is not your portion. When you trust Jesus, your spiritual roots get wrapped around Him. You become like Mount Zion that cannot be uprooted. Faith is powerful because without it, it is impossible to please God. But trust is higher than faith; I would rate trust higher than faith for two reasons. You can have faith in God and not trust God because faith is based on what God has done. Trust is based on who God is. Trust is based on the person of God. Secondly, you can have faith in a god you do not love but you cannot trust a god you do not love. Typical example is marriage; the wife may not trust her husband but she can have faith that he will provide for the upkeep of the home. The reason why people don’t trust God is because they do not love Him. Similarly the reason why people do not do not love God is because they do not trust Him. Trust in God, He is the only one capable of establishing you. He alone knows the plans that He has for you, to give you a hope and a future and bring you to an expected end.
Growing Spiritual roots means being planted, dying to self, germinating and growing in Christ Jesus. You have to let your roots sink down into God so that you can withstand the ever changing seasons.
Prayer: Father, I ask in the Name of Jesus that You will settle me, comfort me, restore me, and establish me this year. Cause my roots to grow down in Jesus so I can bear fruit upwards, in Jesus Name.
