All Is Well

‘Take control of what I say, O LORD, and guard my lips’ Ps.141:3

A certain woman gave up her resources to one of God’s servants. He was moved by compassion and sought to meet any need she had. So the man of God did some research and discovered that the woman did not have a child. And he placed a demand on Heaven for a child for her. The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availed much; she conceived and had a son who brought joy to the family. Out with his father one day, the boy suddenly takes ill. The father immediately instructs that the boy be taken to his mother but the child died in the mother’s arms. She lays the boy on the prophet’s bed and shuts the door. She is determined to track down the prophet; on her way her concerned husband inquires about the situation and her only reply is ‘it shall be well’. And she marched off. The Prophet sees her from a distance, checks with God, hears nothing. So he sends his apprentice to meet her half way and find out what the problem is. All she said to him was ‘all is well’. As soon as she laid hold of the prophets she relays the truth about the situation. She was not denying the situation but she knew all too well that there is no point complaining to people who cannot help you. She did not bother with her husband because his spiritual level was low. With the apprentice, well she was not quite sure he could help much. The prophet understood the kind of response this woman wanted but he was as confused as she was because God had been quiet. In order to buy time, he sent his apprentice first with his rod and then he went himself. He shut the door and cried out to God then laid himself on the boy and scripture states that ‘life came back into the child. Who says we will not have challenges but learn from her and confess God’s truth regardless. Hold on to God, the One in whom all solutions are. We are serving a God of miracles.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I ask that You teach my heart the Word so that it will flow out of my heart, through my mouth, into my every circumstance and change it, in Jesus Name.
