Never Give-up

But this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests! Luke 18:5

Jesus in Luke 18:1-8, told this story to His disciples to show that they should always pray, NEVER GIVE UP and keep walking in faith. Jesus is saying, if you keep at it, God will not fail you. It is just a function of time and you will get what you are asking for. Faith is believing even when you do not see it [Read Heb.11]. The scripture says that God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love. It will be unrighteousness for God to forget you and God cannot be unrighteous. Just hold on, help is on the way. ‘Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; …yet I will rejoice in the LORD! …The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me …able to tread upon the heightsHaba.3:17-19. Do not let pain steal your praise. Praise and worship God regardless of your current pain [Ps.67]. Perhaps your faith has been compromised because of the fierceness of the pain you have gone through. Perhaps you now excuse things that you know God will not want you to excuse. You need to reestablish your connection with God today by crying for mercy. You are not the first person to walk with God and compromise. Stop condemning yourself. Repent, reinforce and refocus. David let us into a very important secret in Psalm 51:17, ‘The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God’. David knew God, he knew that the only way is to humble yourself, be broken and cry before God. Crying before God not about putting up a show but an overflow of the state of your heart and God will hear us in Jesus Name. God sees your heart not your performance. ‘He that covers his sins shall not prosper’ but ‘if you confess and forsake it, you will have mercy’. If you acknowledge that you need mercy today, cry out to God and He who is full of mercy and grace will touch you today. We have to learn how to appeal to the mercy of God. God has a soft spot for a broken and a contrite heart.

Prayer [song]: I have made You too small in my eyes, O Lord, forgive me. I have believed in a lie, that You were unable to help me. But now O Lord, I see my wrong. Heal my heart and show yourself strong. Be magnified, O Lord be magnified, in Jesus Name
