Solid Rock
‘The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks’ Prov.30:26 [KJV]
‘Where there is no vision, the people perish…’ Prov.29:18. In God’s Favourite House, our vision is ‘to be filled with the life of Christ, released into our destinies, and taking the world for Him’. This means as a Church we are constantly striving to be all that God has called us to be. To be just like Jesus, living out God’s plan and passionately leading others to Jesus. It is all about Jesus, He is the Solid Rock on which we have hinged our tomorrows. To be filled with the life of Christ Jesus is to have our lives built on Him. ‘And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock’ Matt.7:25. To be filled with the life of Christ Jesus means to be filled with the essence of God Himself. In other words when you come into a situation, God Himself has shown up in that very situation. To be filled with the life of Christ Jesus means failure is far from you because Jesus is the Conqueror, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Redeemer of mankind. To be filled with life of Christ Jesus is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word. In means to be spiritually grounded; to take roots in Jesus and have lives that bear eternal fruit. When you have the essence of God in you no demon can push you down at night, no force can attempt to remote control your destiny, it is impossible to be linked with any spiritual husband. The life of Christ Jesus will consume everything that is not of God in you. Being filled with the life of Christ Jesus also means caution. ‘But Jesus told him, Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God’ Luke 9:62. You cannot afford to take things for granted. You cannot afford to defile yourself because you carry the life of Christ in you. What will happen to that life, it will fizzle away. Be deliberate about keeping your eyes on Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Lord, I ask that I be consistently filled with the life of Christ Jesus. Help me hold tightly without wavering. Teach my heart to trust You Lord, in Jesus Name.
