God Wants You
‘Long ago the LORD said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself’ Jer.31:3
The best offering you can give God is yourself. The best gift you can give to Him is the gift of you. We are too quick to think that God is interested in what we have and that is why He wants to befriend us. So people think that as soon as they give their tithe and offering they have done their part. It is good to give offerings to God, it is wonderful that we can pay our tithe but this is not what God is after. The Bible says He owns the cattle upon a thousand hills, if God is hungry do you think you can feed Him? What food do you think you can serve that will satisfy the mouth that spoke forth creation? The Bible said Jesus came so we can be reconciled to him. God called the Israelites His first born and gave Moses the reason that they might worship their God. He is looking for a worshiper not a wealthy man. When you hold back yourself from God and you do not give yourself to Him, you are depriving God of the only thing you can give Him. You are the only thing that you can offer God. It is why He went through all the trouble in the first place to grant you access. God wants to fellowship with you; God desires to keep company with you. He wants to feel your love for Him and love you in return. The only thing that you and I can really give God is our self. Every time you worship it is as though you are saying Lord I have come to give you myself. The offerings and the tithe should be an extension of giving yourself to God. We have to worship with the passion of those who are worshiping the only True God. Worship gives us an usual opportunity to give our lives back to God and acknowledge that God deserves our all. When is the last time you danced before the Lord just because He is God? The Bible says we should look for excuses to sing songs to the Lord. Let giving yourself to God become the passion that consumes your heart and your thoughts. Offer yourself as a living sacrifice holy and pleasing unto him.
Prayer: Lord, I offer my life to you as a living sacrifice.

God wants me! Not for the things i can give, or for the things i can do. God the creator of the Heaven and the Earth wants me! The One whose glory lights up the entire heavens wants me! This is more than a love letter or song! Its a promise to carry around daily! A thought to medicate on day and night! I want YOU too Lord – every second! i need Thee O i need Thee, every hour i need Thee. Bless me now my Saviour I come to Thee.
