Beyond the ‘BUT’
‘For the wages of sin is death, BUT the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord’ Rom.6:23
The word ‘But’ is seemingly short yet very powerful word. ‘But’ introduces change in every sentence where it exists. The word ‘but’ can introduce either positivity or negativity to a sentence. You can say the word ‘but’ is a game changer. You passed the interview ‘but’ the board decided a female was best for the position. The ‘but’ in this case negates the whole situation and success suddenly seems like failure. You work very hard ‘but’ you are struggling to make ends meet. Every negative ‘but’ that has changed your success story to failure the Blood of Jesus will wipe away today. If this has been your story up until now, by the power in the Name of Jesus you will experience a reversal today. Your game is about to change because Jesus is. In the story our faith, Jesus is our ‘But’. Jesus Christ came onto the scene and introduced a positive ‘but’. Jesus is our game changer. ‘For the wages of sin is death, BUT the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord’. Thank God for the ‘but’ in this scripture because it introduced a turn around. The same turn around Christ brings to our lives. Adam introduced a negative ‘but’ however Jesus changed the game totally. He is our positive ‘but’. The ‘but’ that Christ is going to introduce to your life will put an end to every negative turn. Jesus’ ‘but’ will cause a new turn and put an end to every negative trend in your life. When you experience a positive ‘but’ as we have in Jesus, it increases your gratitude. ‘But’ Jesus, and the wages of sin were rendered useless. Death has no sting anymore. ‘But’ gives you the before and after of the situation. When can see what we have been saved from, it impacts our gratitude. ‘But God’s gift is real life, eternal life, delivered by Jesus, our Master’ Rom.6:23b [MSG]. You and I could never have been able to earn our salvation ‘but’ Jesus. Now we have everything to be thankful for.
Prayer [song]: ‘Thank You, Jesus for the grace that You have given me, I can never repay but from my heart I’d like to say I thank You’. Thank You for changing my game Lord, in Jesus Name.
