Keys to Restoration II

Then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes. He will have mercy on you and gather you back from all the nations where he has scattered you’ Deut.30:3

The keys to restoration are intertwined. The second key to restoration is Mercy. You can count on God’s promise to turn again and have mercy. However, for mercy to happen, repentance has to first occur. Mercy is not getting what you deserve. The key to mercy is repentance. ‘People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy’ Prov.28:13. The key to mercy is repentance. Seek God’s mercy. The next key to restoration is the Willingness to Pursue. After you have repented and God has forgiven you and poured out His mercy on you. You must be willing to get up and pursue that opportunity again. ‘The Lord answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all’ 1 Sam.30:8b [AMP]. As you pursue, you experience divine assistance and total recovery –total restoration. Otherwise, we really are unfit to receive what we are unwilling to pursue. Desiring something and refusing to pursue it makes you unfit to receive it. In other words, if you desire spiritual depth with God, you have to be willing to pursue spiritual growth. If you are unwilling to pursue a degree, you are unwilling to receive that certificate. If you are unwilling to pursue that proposal, perhaps you are unwilling to receive that contract. If you are unwilling to get up and go to work, then you will be unfit to collect salary at the end of the month. You have prayed about a certain lady and you are sure you have a witness in your heart. If you are unwilling to pursue her, then you are unfit to marry her. Do not give up at the first resistance you meet when you begin to pursue. Keep your focus on recovering all and let God’s word strengthen you. A lot of people want to make Heaven but they are unwilling to pursue Jesus Christ. They are unwilling to pursue godliness, unwilling to pay the price required of them. Unless you are willing to pursue it, you will be unfit to receive what you desire.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I pray that you crown all my pursuits with success. I also ask that You quicken me to pursue all that You Lord have laid before me, in Jesus Name.
