Walk Tall

‘Take My yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls’ Matt.11:29[KJV].

People are quick to read ‘Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest’ Matt.11:28[KJV]. And fail to take into consideration ‘Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls’ Matt.11:29[KJV]. In other words, when we bring our baggages of unresolved pain to Jesus, the next step is to learn. The product of learning is wisdom. It is in the learning that you see that the things the enemy planned for evil, God has turned around for good. Learn patience and how to trust that if God says it is working out for your good, then it will work out for your good. You cannot walk tall if you keep accounts of pain. You cannot walk tall carrying the baggage of unresolved pain. It is only a victim that will do this and God does not want you to be victim. Pain usually is just a symptom, a pointer to something bigger. When you have a cut on your hand, pain is usually what signals it to the body. Pain is just like an attention getter. In fact, God sometimes uses pain to get our attention. God allows us experience some level of pain just to get our attention. When cut is not treated, it probably will get infected. Infection leads to more pain, in some cases headaches. When you treat the headache, you might experience relief but that relief can only be temporal. This is because the headache is not the main source of the pain that you feel. Until the main source of the pain is sorted out, you will continue to experience recurrent pain. If you are experiencing recurrent pain in a particular area of your life, then you need to check if you are addressing the right thing. You must confront the real source of the pain in order to walk tall. Sometimes, the wound happened a long time ago and it has become a distant memory. As you lay it down at the feet of the Alpha and the Omega, He is able to help you locate the root cause of the pain and address it. Learn to keep short accounts; learn to forgive.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I bring every unresolved pain before You today. Work with me through Your Spirit and help me identify and address the cause of the pain. Teach me Lord, in Jesus Name
