What Will You Do?

‘But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.’ Rom.5:8 [KJV].

For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for mePs.38:4. The truth is that none of us is capable of carrying the baggage of our iniquities. But the enemy wants to put it on us and ensure that we keep carrying the baggage. With God, the issue is not the sins you have committed. Rather, God is more concerned about what you’re going to do about the sin? Are you going to get it sorted out or are you going to keep carrying it around like the enemy hopes you would. Some of us are carrying certain burdens and we are just oblivious of the fact that we are carrying the burden of un-repented sin. Yet the nature of un-repented sin is that it is very costly. It can cost you your relationship with God. Are you one of those who previously experienced the tangible presence of God at your devotion time and now you are wondering why that presence seems to evade you? Then check because this could be a pointer to the baggage of un-repented sin. It might not be a sin that you were directly involved in. For instance, sins like abortion do not end with the person who was carrying the baby alone. The truth is that the doctor that did the procedure, the man that gave her the money, the girl, the nurse that carried the utensils, the mallam that put on the generator, and the friend who followed her for moral support, all of them have blood in their hands. So you end up carrying a baggage that you do not know that you are carrying. Being ignorant of that sin causes a lot of people to say in the place of un-repentance. The best way to deal with un-repented sin is to go back to God and sort it out. When you have sinned you cannot un-sin. Those words you shouldn’t have said were said. Sometimes you say things that you should not say. The truth is that you really cannot take back what you have said. You can’t un-sin but you can repent of it. It is as if we have a generation of people who expend a lot of energy trying to un-sin rather than trying to repent of their sins. You cannot un-say or un-do the wrong you have done but you can repent.

Prayer: Lord, I ask in the Name of Jesus that You will help me uncover every un-repented sin in my life. I ask for the grace to face and deal with it, in Jesus Name.
