God Will Make A Way

‘God is my strong fortress, and He makes my way perfect2Sam.22:33

The second thing we must learn from Jabez is that’s since there is a God, there is a way. Jabez did not resign to fate. Unfortunately, for some people instead of focusing on God in the presence of Peninnah, they turn away from God and start seeking solutions in many other things. The Bible says, ‘He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.’1 Chro.4:10. Since there is a God, there is a way for you. Never ever think that you are hopeless because you have a God in Heaven. He is the same God who made a way for the children of Israel through the red sea. He is the same God who made a way for David when he was facing goliath. He is still the same God today. What are you facing? Jabez faced God. In other words, He chose to turn away from his present situation and unto God. You and I must face God squarely. We do not have any other source. Yet there is so much that needs to be done in our lives. The only solution is to face God squarely and refuse to let God until deliverance comes. Jabez cried to God. Jesus cried to God in Gethsemane. Three times, He went before God with the same prayer point. Are you stronger than Jesus? Why then do you think asking God once is sufficient? We have to face God and give Him no rest. Learn from Hezekiah who got a death sentence from the most authentic prophet in town Isaiah. ‘This is what the Lord says: Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness’ 2 Kings 20:1b. Hezekiah immediately did the next wise thing and faced God. Hezekiah cried out to God. And the result was that God instantly changed the decree and added fifteen more years to his life. God can change His mind and no one can question Him. Since there is a God, there is a way. Face God squarely and He will make a way.
