Antidote

‘At least I can take comfort in this: Despite the pain, I have not denied the words of the Holy One’ Job 6:10.

Before you experience gain, it is inevitable to experience a level of pain. We will go through trials and challenges in life, again, this is also inevitable. However, most times when people are faced with trials or challenges, you find them looking for tranquilizers to knock off or even dampen the pain. Pain is painful, have you noticed; either the pain of rejection, financial loss, or loss of a loved one to physical death. Whatever the severity, pain is painful. So there is a constant search for ways to fill the void and numb the pain. Be careful this is usually what leads to addictions. People have sort to numb their pain with cigarettes, alcohol, food, hard drugs and others with all sorts of sexual uncleanness [fornication, lesbianism, or homosexuality]. However, when the deceptions of this sort of antidotes wear off, you discover that the pain and void is still there. Know this today, whatever addiction you are struggling with brought on as a result of trying to numb pain, needs to be addressed [2 Cor.5:17]. The only antidote to the pain and void that you feel is Jesus. If you will take the baggage of addiction which is causing you more pain to the cross today, Jesus will set you free and God, the Maker of the Heavens and the earth will fill every void in your life. It is only then that you will experience what true fulfillment can be. Even when God has blessed you beyond measure, there is nothing that can ever take the place of God. Money, Marriage, or Material things; if you lack God there will be a void in your life. The only antidote to the pain and void that you feel is Jesus. Jesus is the only One who can give you the kind of fulfillment you desire. You need to find God and not an antidote to the pain you are trying to numb.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I lay down my life before You; let Your healing touch, Word and presence rid me of every addiction that has been brought on by pain and fill every void in my life, in Jesus Name.
