Plans Of Good
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jer.29:11
Have you ever wondered why God takes you through some phases in life? Periods where you know without any doubt that you are walking with God yet you cannot explain the storms. Paul experienced something similar, so relax you are not alone. However, like Paul, you have to continue to see what God’s plan is and go for it. ‘For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ Jer.29:11. You have to know beyond doubt and believe it regardless of what you can see that God’s plans for you are good. And that because He has said you will get to the expected end, you will. It is for seasons like this that God says ‘While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal‘ 2 Cor.4:18 [KJV]. Your calling and purpose are tied to your suffering. Am sure you have heard this statement before. Paul puts it this way ‘For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory’ 2Cor.4:17. To share your testimony convincingly you need to experience it. God has taken you and is growing you so that you can stand tall when it is all said and done. The pain is working in you a far greater glory. You will come out on top but guess what, you will also be able to lead people to the top. Everyone you see today and admire have had to submit their lives to the Porter. He alone dictates the process the clay has to endure to become a vessel fit unto honor. You are almost at the finish line so keep your eyes on the Father and He will bring you safely home. You have to believe and understand that you will come out on top. The wilderness experience is always for a greater purpose. Your perspective should be that your greatness is unleashed through this and embrace the refining/training process. Take comfort in the fact that ALL things work together for lovers of God. Set your love on Him, especially in the midst of the seeming storms.
Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to endure this process and to learn through the class of Your Spirit. Amen.
