You Already Have Victory

‘Seek the LORD while you can find Him. Call on Him now while He is near’ Isa.55:6

‘I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow’ 1 Cor.3:6. The way God has it fashioned out is that preaching of the Good News is reserved for you and I. Whether the person accepts or not, is not our responsibility. The fact is that once Jesus is preached, you already have the victory. For some of us, our duty is to plant the seed in the hearts of those around us. For others, their job is to water the seed but in all it is God who makes the seed grow. In this season, I feel very strongly that God wants us to go about harvesting lives that are already ripe. They are ripe from the work that God has been doing in their hearts. These people are at the verge of accepting Jesus and God wants us to offer the ultimate gift to them. You won’t know the extent of God’s work until you offer them Jesus Christ. For me it was a student in school, we called him Bro.Tosin. He was relentless in preaching Christ to us. Yet it was not him who led me to Christ. The day I gave my life to Jesus, it was a song that led to the turn around. But guess who had done the planting, it was Bro.Tosin. For some of us God just needs us to be faithful like Bro.Tosin. The victory is in being faithful. When you share Christ Jesus you win, whether the person accepts Him or not. Perhaps the people that are close to you but far from God are very familiar with you. And they will not take you seriously when you talk to them about Jesus. Then instead of taking the ultimate gift to them, bring them to the ultimate gift. Invite them to Church programs this season so that they can meet with Jesus. God wants us to seize the Christmas season where people are most receptive to the gospel to bring those who are close to us but far from God to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Yet you cannot give what you do not have. You cannot give the ultimate gift if you do not have the ultimate gift. ‘Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor Him in your youth before you grow old…Ecc.12:1.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me enter into the victory of sharing You with those around me every day this season, in Jesus Name.
