Already Provided

‘…the Lamb slain from the foundation of the worldRev.13:8.

The second thing we need to reinforce or learn is that God has already made provision. God is not just thinking about the situation you are in or looking for ways to get you out of it. He has gone ahead and made provision for you already. God knew that Adam was going to get into trouble because concerning Jesus the Bible says ‘…the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world’ Rev.13:8. Before your rent or children’s school fees is due, God has made provision for the funds already. Many of us think that it is when we finish school that God will decide the career we are going to have. God has already decided and made the necessary provision. When God gives you an instruction, He has already provided for it. God said to Abraham ‘go and sacrifice your only son Isaac’. Guess what, God had already gone ahead of him to prepare a ram for the sacrifice. You need to walk in the confidence knowing that you may not fully see the resources but nothing takes God unawares. You may not physically have the resources but know that God has already provided it. It is in this assurance and knowing that revelation comes. God is saying ‘behold I will do a new thing’, He says ‘now it will spring forth’, He did not say it has sprung forth. He says ‘I will make a way in the wilderness’ – future tense. ‘I will make rivers in the desert’. Yet He is saying can you not see it? So even though God is yet to do it, He is asking if you see it. Just imagine a father saying to his son ‘I am going to buy you a toy car – can you not see it?’ The child will probably stare at him confused. But this is how God deals with us. I want to just encourage you today that there is no project you are taking on right now that God has not provided for – none. God is not making it up as we go, He has already preplanned it. That should give you some confidence [Matt.17:26-27]. As you approach this year with the things you are believing God for, let it be established in your spirit that God Almighty has already provided for them.

Prayer [song]: ‘I know that I can make it; I know that I can stand. No matter what may come my way, my life is in Your hands. With Jesus I can make it, with Him I know I can stand. No matter what may come my way, my life is in Your hands’.
