Mind My Own Business II
‘If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?’ Luke 15:4
Say to yourself over and over again until it sinks into your spirit ‘this year my job is to mind my own business’. The power in minding your own business is so enormous, it appears simple but it is so enormous. Check every one that is or has been significant in this life, they have learnt to mind their own business. If it is seeds God has put in your hands to plant, then mind those seeds until they bear fruit and yield the desired harvest that will glorify God. If it is children that God has blessed you with, then mind each one of them until they are living the life that Jesus died for them to have. If it is ‘sheep’ that God has put in your care, then shepherd them and feed them just as our Lord Jesus has commanded. The only time that you will have a problem with spiritual warfare is when you are not minding your business. Instead you are going about attracting the battle that does not concern you. That is the only time that you will suffer defeat in warfare. However, when you are minding your business and the lion or the bear comes, you have the assurance of faith in God. So you face them and tear them into pieces. This is not a year of ‘have you heard?’ or ‘he said she said’. Mind your own business because more people are run down by someone’s loose tongue than by cars these days. As dangerous as the highways might be, the tongue is more dangerous. Watch your words and mind your own business. I believe that as believers we should pray for people but the truth is that I would have prayed ten times for someone in God’s Favourite House before I would pray once for someone in ‘church ABC’. Not because I hate them but what is their pastor doing? I am minding my own business. I cannot enter a battle that is not in my jurisdiction besides what about my own flock. I will mind my own business and you will mind your own business this year. That way we can focus on the assignment that God has for us and take territories for Jesus.
Prayer: Father, help me maintain my focus on the things You have set before me. I ask for the grace to mind my own business this year and beyond, in Jesus Name.
