God’s Way

But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!’ Luke 19:39

A lot of us have our own mindsets on how we want things done but God also has His own plans on how things will be done. ‘We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer’ Prov.16:1. That is why as humans it is always a constant struggle between doing your will and following God’s will, constantly questioning if it is your way or God’s way. The purpose of Easter is to show us that we should yield consistently to God’s will. God’s way usually amounts to good but as humans we tend to be short sighted. Jesus demonstrated at the garden of gethsemane that it has to be God’s way. There was just one prayer Jesus prayed ‘not my will but Your will be done’. Palm Sunday again is another example that shows us that God will have His way. But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!” He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!Luke 19:39-40. God must be honored. Left to the Jews Jesus should have ridden on a horse or in a chariot but Jesus came into Jerusalem on a donkey – God’s way. Whose way do you want really – your way or God’s way? The truth is regardless of how hard you fight eventually God will have His way. God wants you to serve Him but you are busy focusing on your own plans. Guess what, if you refuse to serve God, He will raise stones to take your place. God will have His way – every knee must and will bow to Jesus. You have a choice to do it willingly now or guess what a time will come when you will have to bow to Jesus. Everybody living or dead, old presidents, great men of old, everybody will bow. This is an opportunity for you who know that Jesus is not the Lord of your life to open your heart to Jesus. What better time to give your life to Jesus than at Easter as we celebrate the price paid for our lives with His own life. God will reveal Himself to you and will ride into your life in a majestic way, in Jesus Name. He will change your life totally and His Name will be glorified.

Prayer [song]: ‘Into my life (2x), come into my life Lord Jesus. Come in today, come in to stay, come into my life Lord Jesus’, in Jesus Name.
