Who Are You Speaking To?

‘And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me… And God granted him that which he requested’ 1 Chr.4:10 [KJV].

Guess what, just like the man of God, you too can go directly to God to get curses broken. According to scripture, the man Jabez was cursed from birth by his mother. And Jabez realizing the negative effect of the curses went to the God of Israel – the God of men. Jabez cried to the God of Israel ‘Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed’. What Jabez was saying in essence was – reverse this curse Lord and bless me indeed. And scripture records that the Lord granted Him that which He requested. The same God that granted Jabez his request will grant you yours because He is dependable.

This is why I always advice that people take seasons of corporate fasting, vigils, and prayer very seriously. Maximize the season and plug into the move of God. Yet for some reason people fail to. I can remember after a season like the ‘God Will Do It Again’ service a woman came me that she had been having some kind of dreams and she had waited till after the season to tell me. I was surprised. How can you be waiting to see me when you can cry out to the God of heaven yourself? Plug in and trust God and deal with the situation. Also because it is a season, it is like a stirring of the waters. But unlike Siloam, God’s power is available to as many as press in because when Jesus showed up on the scene it became whosoever will. So as the waters are being stirred up, it is as many as press in.

This is why after seasons like the ‘God Will Do It Again’ you hear people testify of abundance, breakthroughs, healings, and miracles and others are shocked. Why because some people are pressing in and some are not. You have to be determined to change that in your own case. God’s Word to us as a church and as individuals is ‘you will excel’. Look for every opportunity to plug into God. And I am confident that every limitation that has been placed over you by your fathers or their fathers will be taken out and you will excel.

Prayer: Lord I decree that I am he/she whom my brothers shall praise. My hand shall be on the neck of my enemies. No major decisions will be taken in my family without my input. The scepter shall not depart from me, in Jesus Name.
