Faith Is… I

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see’ Heb.11:1.

Faith is being confident even when I am yet to possess the promise. ‘Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see’ Heb.11:1 [NIV]. If God’s promise to you is of a future partner for instance, faith is being confident that you are going to be married. So it is going to affect how you carry yourself. Carrying yourself with the air of self-pity is definitely not faith. Faith is carrying yourself with confidence knowing that God will bless the man that eventually marries you [who receives this package]. That is faith. In every area of our lives we have to demonstrate faith even without knowing. Ask the architects they will tell you that every building was conceived first in the mind. Until they see it clearly in their minds and conceptualize it on paper, they cannot build it in real life. The architects must have gotten this from the Bible. Every entrepreneur will tell you that it is important to envision your business – this is an act of faith. Faith is being confident even when I am yet to see it.

Faith is plugging into the move of God regardless of how I feel. Faith is not trying to get God to move. Faith is plugging into the move of God. These are two different things. There are some people that are trying to get God to bless them. That is not faith. Faith is plugging into the blessings that God has already blessed you with. That is faith. Salvation is plugging into an existing move of God because God has already provided for salvation. Faith is saying to Jesus, I believe and I plug into it. Healing is the same thing. Faith is not trying to get God to heal you. God has already paid the price for your healing. Faith is plugging into what God is already doing and has already done. Faith is plugging into what God is doing regardless of how I am feeling. Faith is not sitting down until God does something. Faith is knowing that God is doing something and plugging into it.

Prayer: Father, I have the strength, provision, direction, favour, approval, and promotion that I need today according to Your riches in glory, in Jesus Name.
