The Progenitor I

‘Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?’ Heb.12:9 [KJV]

The foundation and purpose of fatherhood is headship. The man is the head of his wife and invariably the head of his family. To be a successful father, you must understand and deploy the power of headship. We have termed the five qualities that translate to power in headship the ‘five P’s’. Any of the ‘P’s that is lacking will translate to an erosion in that headship. And if there are a number lacking, the head technically just becomes a figurehead. Yet all that will come to an end this season in the Name of Jesus. So if you are a married man, already or soon to be a father, congratulations because your fatherhood is about to go to another level. If you are a wife, congratulations, you have prayer points for your husband from today and you will see the change in Jesus Name. If you’re a single man, congratulations, you do not have to make the mistakes we made because you are going to get it right from the beginning. If you are a single woman then double congratulations, you will be able to decide who to get married to. So you don’t make the mistake of marrying a parked car that is not going anywhere. A parked car has an engine and everything but it is not about to move. May God ignite all such engines in Jesus Name.

The father is the progenitor. The word progenitor simply means source, the originator. The father is the originator or source of the family. The Hebrew word for father simply means source. God is the Father of all spirits [Heb.12:9]; meaning God is the source of all spirits. The word progenitor does not only refer to things biologically. You can be the source of a business, an idea, or an invention. Meaning you are the father of that business, idea, or invention whether you are male or female. If you head  a corporation, you automatically become the father whether you are male or female, you are a progenitor. Therefore in talking about headship, a female progenitor will also need to understand and apply the ‘5 P’s’ of headship in order to be successful and not be a figurehead.

Prayer: Father, help me operate in the strength of a progenitor even as I function in the capacity of a leader and business owner. May I never be just a figurehead, in Jesus Name
