Be Aware VII

 ‘in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes’ 2 Cor.2:11 [NIV]

God wants you to be free. So you need to battle satan. And in battling satan, the first thing you need to know is that we don’t treat our enemy lightly. In a war situation, it is kill or be killed, fire or be fired at. ‘But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!’ Jude 1:9[NIV]. Do not treat the enemy lightly. One of the major lies of the devil that I have seen him use to destroy destinies is he suggests to people that they will be fine if they are gentle and if they don’t offend anybody. The devil is a lair. Paul said ‘For we are not unaware of his schemes’. The enemy wants us to be ignorant of his devices.

The second thing you must know is that we do not fight with our own powers but with the power and authority of our God [Matt.10:1]. ‘Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you’ James 4:7. There is no human being that can face the devil, only God. With God you will trample upon serpents, scorpions, over all the powers of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. The scripture says ‘submit yourself therefore to God’, that is the starting point. You have to submit yourself to God before you can resist the devil and he will flee from you. It is the submission to God that some people skip or do not want to do. They just want to go and resist the devil. You can’t just do that because without God you cannot win. You have to submit to God then you resist the devil and he will flee. There are certain situations in our lives that have demonic influences at varying degrees. There are certain people whose homes are on fire because the devil is in the middle of it. For some it is your finances that the devil is crunching or planning to crunch. For others it is the issue of getting married or not getting married. Some are actually afraid to get married because of past experiences. You can change that. Fear is of the devil and not of God. You will resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Prayer: Father, I totally submit my all to You! Concerning my expectations, projects, dreams, aspirations, and days to come, satan the Lord rebuke you, in Jesus Name.
