Beauty For Ashes

He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies’ Isa.61:2.

The pain of abuse, whether mental, emotional, or sexual, is a terrible thing. Some people who go through this experience think they will never recover from the pain, shame, and reproach borne out of such experiences. So they try to make up for the painful experience by searching for love in all of the wrong places. Most times they get into a series of bad relationships but what they are looking for is actually a way to be loved enough to forget the pain of the past. A lot of them want to know what kind of life someone who has had several people abuse them can live? Sadly some of them experience the abuse from an early age and their parents are totally unaware of what was going on. People who have gone through such experiences become terrified about what the future holds in store for them. They either live with the fear of intimacy or go over board trying to find themselves. Total recovery is possible.

God’s truth is that He will restore to you the years that experience has stolen from you. My job to everyone carrying the pain of an abusive past around is very simple. God wants you to know that because you have given your life to Him and accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, you are a totally new person. You are struggling with those thoughts because it is an emotional experience. But as you hang in the Word of God, the Word of God will renew your mind totally. As long as you remain in Christ, there is no question about it; I can assure you by the grace of God your life will be great. God is saying to you that He will give you beauty for ashes. And everywhere you have experienced shame, He, the Alpha and the Omega, will beautify you. God is not just giving you a testimony, He is making your life a testimony and in time others will find healing from your testimony. ‘He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory’. Isa.61:3. Hold unto this Word because He wrote them for you.

Thought: ‘And don’t be afraid of people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!’ Jer.1:8.

Prayer: Thank You Father for loving me, I have found life anew in Your loving arms and I thank You for totally healing, in Jesus Name.
