You Are Blessed!
‘The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it’ Prov.10:22.
If you were to describe with one word a person that has the command of the resources of Heaven? What would that word be? How will you describe someone that whenever he is going through challenges, because everybody will go through challenges, he always has comfort and help? How will you describe a person who on this earth is prosperous financially, physically, and in marriage? How will you describe a person that among his/her peers is perceived to have things work out for him/her differently? How would you describe someone that God talks to face to face and not in parables? How would you describe someone that has an assurance of heaven when all is said and done? There is only one word to describe any one who fits any of these descriptions and that word is Blessed! Note that for all of these classifications listed none of them requires human intelligence. The next question that naturally comes to mind is how? How can I be blessed? In Matthew 5:1-12, Jesus took us through a path that shows us how to harness this blessedness if you will; the blessing that will make you stand out such that people will testify that you are a child of God. The blessings that will make you inherit the earth and be prosperous. The blessings that will make the resources of heaven available to you and put you in command of them. I want that kind of blessing and I am sure you do too. In fact we are blessed with that kind of blessing. So what is the path that Jesus outlined? Please Read Matthew 5:1-12. Jesus says the way to have heavens resources at your disposal is to be poor in spirit. Jesus says the way to be blessed through affliction and be comforted is through mourning. Jesus says the way to be prosperous, inherit the earth, own real estate, and be successful in marriage is to be meek. Jesus says the way to experience true satisfaction is to hunger and thirst for righteousness. Jesus says the way to receive mercy is to be merciful. Learn what it really means to be blessed in God’s eyes over the next few days.
Prayer: Father, thank You for choosing to teach me what it really means to be blessed. I ask that You will bless me even as I apply this teachings daily, in Jesus Name.
