Do Not Apologize!

‘The people in the camp were jealous of Moses and envious of Aaron, the Lord’s holy priest. Because of this, the earth opened up; it swallowed Dathan
and buried Abiram and the other rebels’ Ps.106:16-17

Jesus says, ‘blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven’. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before youMatt.5:10-12 [NIV]. Are you going through intense persecution because of your commitment to God or because of God’s favour? Do not apologize for it. Living righteously has great rewards but it will also attract fierce envy. Many people go around apologizing for the favour of God in their lives. You need to know that favour is not fair. People will envy you because they do not understand why you are being promoted above them or your contentment when you seemingly have nothing. That’s their business but don’t apologize for it because it is not your fault. The day you begin to apologize for your blessings and God’s hand on your life, you are telling heaven to ration your portion. Joseph did not only enjoy favour from his father, God also favored him. And this stirred up great envy in his brothers. If you want to be blessed as Jesus describes it then prepare for envy. Envy clouded the minds of some of the Israelites that they forgot that Moses was speaking by God’s divine appointment. Why Moses, Aaron, and Miriam – is it a family business? In fact they said ‘has God only spoken by Moses?’ What’s the big deal about that? God speaks to me and He speaks to you. And God said to them, ‘if there is a prophet amongst you, I will show you dreams that will cause you to run around seeking the interpretation. But not with Moses, I speak to him face to face. Should you not be afraid of that?’ You need to understand, embrace, and accept that envy is the portion of the favored. Don’t be afraid, they can’t touch you. Why was Jesus crucified? Envy. Even Pilate ‘knew very well that the religious leaders had arrested Jesus out of envyMatt.27:18. You will get to where God is taking you.

Prayer: Plead my cause O Lord with them that strive with me, let them all turn back and be suddenly ashamed because of where You are taking me, in Jesus Name.
