Take A Stand

‘But Peter said, I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk! Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up…’ Acts 3:6-7

Never be afraid to draw the line with your God. God honors the word of his servants. He will honor you. In your office, say to them if God is alive this is what is going to happen and watch God honor His Name. While on a project in the northern part of Nigeria, two men approached me. The older was crippled and was being carried by the younger man and they were begging for alms. So I said to them that I know  they are Muslims and I respect that but I know someone, His Name is Jesus, if Jesus does not heal him, referring to the crippled one, and he does not walk then he should never follow Jesus. But if I were to pray with him now and Jesus heals him then he has to serve Jesus. The younger man who had to bear the weight of carrying the older crippled man around agreed immediately but the older man began to recite some incantations and refused. Ananias and Sapphira conspired to lie about the actual amount they sold their land. That is a terrible thing. People erroneously think that it is loyalty but in actual fact it is foolishness. Both of you cannot be making the same error. One of you should be able to deliver the whole family. If one person’s head is not correct the other person’s head should be correct. They conspired and they both died. The husband was the first to arrive on the scene and he died after lying. Then the wife came and God gave her the opportunity to say the truth but she chose to lie and Peter said when it was not sold was it not your own? When it was sold was it not still your own? But because you have taken it upon yourself to lie to the Holy Ghost these are the men that carried your husband and she fell down and died. And that was righteousness with God.

Do not be afraid to stand up for what you believe in or who you serve. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego took a stand for God against the king and against the whole country not knowing exactly how God will honor His Name. But God showed up and honored His Name. God is asking you to take a stand for Him today and just watch!

Prayer: Father, I confess that I have no power of my own but You are the Living God and I have confidence in You. I take a stand for You today Lord, and I declare that I will remain standing for You, in Jesus Name.
