Who Are You?

‘For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus [born anew] that we might do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us…’ Eph.2:10 [AMP]

A major key to achieving internal peace is knowing who you are. You are not what you earn. You have billions yes but you are not a billionaire. That is not who you are. People who think of themselves in terms of what they earn, as soon as they experience a challenge in their finances it affects their core. You are not what you possess. You are not what happened to you. You may have been a victim of rape but do not remain a victim. You may have undergone divorce but don’t remain a victim. You are not what happened to you. Neither are you what you did. You may have stolen but that does not mean you are a thief. Stop seeing yourself as a thief. You may have committed adultery but that does not mean you are an adulterer. Pick up yourself, dust yourself, and become the person that God has called you to be. Neither are you what you do, I am a banker. No you are not, what if you were to loose that job? Then you become confused and have an identity crisis immediately because you have held unto that as your identity. You are not what you do.

So who are you? Listen very carefully; I am here to tell you that you are a child of God, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, you have been called forth to show forth the praises of Him who has brought you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Who are you – you are more than a conqueror through Christ regardless of all the things that are happening to you and all the challenges you have. You are not even what your father says you are, you are not what your husband says you are. He says you are dumb but guess what you have the mind of Christ. That is who you are. I need you to read this and internalize whom you really are. You are a child of God, the Most High God. You are God’s workmanship recreated and born anew in Christ Jesus. The creator of the heavens and the earth and of all that is seen and unseen calls you His Masterpiece. How Sweet!

Prayer [song]: Sweet Jesus, Sweet Jesus, how wonderful You are. You are brighter than the morning star. You are fairer, much fairer than the lily that grows by the way side. You are precious more precious than gold. Amen.
