Undeniable Change

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done’ Phil.3:7.

‘I don’t know whether he is a sinner,” the man replied. “But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!John 9:25. If you check with anyone who is consistently walking with God, one thing we all have in common is that there has been great change since we met the person of Jesus. Claiming you are saved and refusing to change is making yourself a ridicule to the Kingdom of God. You are making a mess of everything God stands for. If you want to be cold be cold. If you want to be hot be hot. If you are lukewarm you are standing the risk of being rejected by Jesus. If you are cold we know that it’s an evangelism case. With God you must take a stand and trust Him to keep you there. But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. You choose this day whom you will serve. A lot of people at the end of the year come up with long lists of resolutions based on mistakes they think they have made and what they must make up for in the coming year. Yet the truth is that it has nothing to do with new behavior but everything to do with new creation. Let your resolution beginning from today be Jesus focused. He alone can change lives and keep them changed and growing better daily. ‘I was so zealous that I harshly persecuted the church. And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault. I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain ChristPhil.3:6-8. This was Paul expressing his testimony of a changed life. The truth is that there can be no real change until you encounter the person of Jesus. That change you are seeking for so badly has been and is still standing outside your door. If you let Him in, your life will never be the same again. Until you let Jesus in, you really cannot even identify what needs to be changed or how to go about it. You may have been looking in the wrong direction all along.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are the change I have been seeking for so desperately. I may think it is small but it was worth Your sacrifice for me. Take me as I am Lord but please don’t leave me the way I have come. Change me, in Jesus Name.
