Man

 ‘And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.’ Gen.1:26 [KJV].

As a loving father, God goes ahead of us to prepare a place for us. And like He did in the beginning, God will put you in that place to dominate and to crown it. Getting into the prepared place ahead of God’s timing is a choice to settle for a lower position. Moreover, God will not share His glory with anyone. If Adam had been there with God during creation and perhaps God asked Him to bring a bucket of water, Adam would probably say afterwards that ‘God and I made the heavens and the earth’. God is not interested in that. Even when God was going to make Eve, God put Adam to sleep. So that when He was done with Eve, Adam would not say we both made Eve. Perhaps if God lets you into the plan, you would be tempted to try to do some part in your strength. And then you would not give God all the glory due Him. Someone once said that God put Adam to sleep so he would not see how He made Eve because Adam would have made himself another Eve.

‘So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.’ Gen.1:27 [KJV]. God created man in His own image and God is a spirit. So if God created man in His own image, the image of God that man carries is not the body. The image of God is the spirit being of man. And God called that spirit being man. And He formed a body for the man, put the spirit inside it, and man became a living soul. God put the man to sleep and made the woman, more sophisticated than a man. Man is a spirit and man is not gender specific. So there exists the male-man and the female-man. It is the same spirit of God that is in man – the male-man and the female-man. The image of God that is in the woman is not inferior to the image of God that is in the man. So if you are male, you are a male-man. And if you are female, you are a female-man. Let it be established in your heart today that if you are female, you are carrying the original image of God too. Do not let anyone fool you into thinking that you are an inferior being. That is a lie of the devil.

Prayer: Father, help me fully grasp what it means to be created in Your image and after your likeness, in Jesus Name.
