Heaven’s Timetable

‘For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven… Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time…’ Ecc.3:1 & 11.

Once you have qualified the dream and authenticated the vision, I have just one advice for you; give your life to it. For some of us the truth is that the vision that God is going to give us is going to be embedded in the vision of another person. Some people cannot stand that and that is a problem. Pharaoh understood that the vision for his country’s prosperity was embedded in Joseph’s vision but Joseph’s brothers didn’t understand that. Pharaoh understood it so he gave Joseph his signet ring [authority] to facilitate him and the needed resources. Sometimes the unbelievers have more common sense than believers. Joseph’s brothers are a type of believers and Pharaoh is a type of unbeliever. Give your life to the vision.

There is an aspect of engineering your dreams that is unpopular and that is the aspect of waiting. You have qualified the dream, authenticated the vision, and you are fired up. You want to act but it is as if heaven and everything is saying wait. It can be so discomforting. You get very agitated. No one wants to wait anymore. But everyone that is pregnant with something knows that you just have to wait. Even with physical pregnancy, if you are five months pregnant and you say you are tired and want to push. What will most likely happen is that you will be advised to wait. When the time comes, you won’t have to beg the baby. Most people think that because they are waiting it means they are wasting time. Listen, waiting time is not wasted time. I don’t know what you are waiting on God for; it could be for a life partner, a child, financial breakthrough, it could be to take your business to the next level. Whatever it is, just be assured that waiting time is not wasted time. You need to say this out loud to yourself consistently, particularly in seasons of waiting. God could have created everything in one day. But in His infinite wisdom He paced creation. You and I may never understand that except He reveals it. But like the writer said in Ecclesiastes, there is a time for everything. There is a time designated to waiting under heaven.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me understand and maximize each season You bring me into in my walk with You, in Jesus Name.
