He Is Lord!

‘That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father’ Phil.2:10-11 [KJV]

The fifth thing you must remember is the supremacy of Jesus. In fact we must never forget this. There are a lot of religions in the world, a lot of ‘masters’ and ‘prophets’ so to speak. But Jesus is superior to them all. Jesus single handedly stands in between history and the future. Everything that happened before Him is B.C and everything that happened after Him is A.D. He is the most important person in history. In Buddhism, Buddha never claimed to be God. In Judaism, Moses the center figure never claimed to be God. In fact Moses said, ‘that there is a prophet that is coming, him shall you listen to’. In Islam, Mohammed never claimed to be Allah. Yet Jesus Christ claimed to be the True and the Living God. Confucius said ‘I never claimed to be holy’. Jesus said ‘who convicts me of sin?’ Mohammed said ‘unless God throws a cloak of mercy over me, I have no hope’. Jesus said ‘unless you believe in Me, you will die in your sins’. Buddha on his deathbed said ‘I am a teacher in search of the truth’. Krishna said ‘for you to access the truth you need to chant ‘hari krishna’ and maybe you will have access to the truth’. Mohammed said ‘I am a prophet pointing to the truth’. Jesus said ‘I am the way, I am the truth, and I am the life, no body comes to the Father except by Me’. There is no name under heaven given unto man by which they shall be saved except the name of Jesus.

One day, my wife and I visited a friend who is deep into the occult with the intention of winning him over to Jesus. And he started up a conversation saying there are different masters. Then he went on to mention their names and the names of the founders of different religions. And then he said ‘even Jesus Christ, they are all men that have improved themselves spiritually’. I cut him off saying, ‘don’t ever put Jesus on the same plane as these other people. You do soul travel; how come at the name of Jesus every knee bows. You know that don’t you?’ He was quiet. I said to him, ‘in fact let us prove it now’. I didn’t even know what I was going to say or do. Perhaps that God should make him blind for a season, I don’t know. I just needed to show him that the name of Jesus is higher than every other name. I get very upset when people try to belittle my Jesus. Don’t let anybody confuse you, Jesus is Supreme.
