Just For You II

Jesus showed up for you! Jesus bore the gift of heaven for you. You have heard it said that Jesus is the reason for the season, right? And that is true but the greater truth is that you are the reason for the season. You are the reason Jesus came. Think about it, why else did Jesus come? Why would God leave heaven and come if we didn’t need help? On that day when I stood alone at visiting day and all the cars were disappearing one after the other, it dawned on me that the reason for the visiting day was me – the student. The parents that came, came to refresh us. I know that religious people are struggling with this right now. You are questioning whether it is blasphemy, how can you say that you are the reason for the season? God said so. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son [John 3:16]. The reason He gave His only begotten Son was for you and I. So say aloud, “I am the main reason for this season”, because that is the truth. ‘God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins’ 1John 4:9-10.

The relevance of Christmas is God came to the earth and became a man. The reason for Christmas is God came for you. You may be reading this and thinking about all the many storms in your life right now. By now I should have been married. By now I should have had my own children. By now I should no longer be paying rent. By now I should have my own car. A lot of these emotions or more could be going through your mind right now but I want you to know that God understands what you are going through [Heb.4:15]. Jesus became a man – relevance. And Jesus came for you – the reason. That is why Paul could say that if God did not spare His only Son and gave Him up for you [the reason], what do you think He will withhold from you? [Rom.8:32]. So God will make everything beautiful in its time. The big deal about Christmas is because of the relevance of Christmas which is God came down and became a man. And because of the reason, which is, God came for you and me.

Prayer [song]: “God is able to do all that He says He will do. He is going to fulfill every promise to you. Don’t give up on God cause He wont give up on you. He’s able!” Amen!
