Do You Really Know Him?

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple” Ps.27:4 [KJV].

Jesus is Alpha! Jesus was there before you were born, before your parents decided to have a baby. Even when they said you were a mistake and they wanted to flush you out, Jesus made sure that you were not aborted. I know of a child that the parents attempted to abort several times but they did not succeed. And today, that child is the most powerful among their children and the parents are glad that they didn’t abort the child. Who made sure that they didn’t abort that child? Jesus was there from the beginning; the day you were conceived, Jesus was there. And so in all things relating to foundational problems, Jesus is the master of foundations. In cases of ancestral curses, Jesus alone can go to the beginning of your life and correct the foundation of your life. Jesus alone!

Do you know why demons tremble at the name of Jesus? It is because demons know Jesus more than believers do. They hear “in the Name of Jesus” and they exit. Guess why? It is because they were there when Jesus sent them out from heaven. They were there when Jesus walked on earth. They were there when Jesus was killed and was buried for three days. They were there, rejoicing in hell over Him. And they were there when He came and took the keys of death and hell from satan. They were there; they saw the whole thing in action. When He rose again, they saw it. The Pharisees tried to convince the blind man that Jesus was just a sinner, just an ordinary man born by a woman. “We know where his brothers are”, they said. He is a sinner like you and I; give glory to God. Does that not sound spiritual – give glory to God? But the blind man said, “whether he be a sinner or not, I don’t know but one thing I know, whereas I was blind but now I can see”. In other words, you can go ahead and argue about who this Jesus is but one thing I know… When you taste the power of God, no theory can confuse you about the existence and the authority of Jesus. And that is why Paul said “we use plain languages, we use simple English so that your faith can be based on the power of God and not on the wisdom of men”. Why? It is because the wisdom of men will fail but the power of God will endure. In 2013, we sent a team on a mission trip to Sierra Leone. One of them was my colleague and she said she experienced God like never before. She saw the power of God in action. Had she not experienced this same power before but this was different. They saw it working through them. Can anyone convince them that Jesus is not alive? No! Get to KNOW Jesus.
