The Answer
“Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal live” John 4:13-14.
Jesus is not a part of the answer like some people would like us to believe. They say, well we really cannot write the history of man without talking about Jesus. He existed before you but He is just one of the scholars. He influenced modern civilization; He is part of the answer. No! Jesus is not just part of the answer, Jesus is the answer. Jesus does not only have the answer, Jesus is The Answer. In years past it was alright for parents to tell their children ‘x+y=z’ and the children just accept it. But that age is long gone. Today when you tell children do this or that, they query it. Why do I have to do this? Tell me why? I’m not disobeying I just want to understand. We have information flying at us from every direction. Everybody that has a twitter account has a voice and is an expert. Everybody that has a blog is an expert in their own ways, in their own eyes. People are asking a lot of questions and some of these questions are actually very valid. I once got a tweet one time that read, “…if Jesus is the answer then what is the question?” Interesting right? So I paused, perhaps I need to think about this. If Jesus is The Answer, what is the question? If Jesus is The Answer, life is the question. Jesus is The Answer to the puzzles of life. Any sphere of life you take, the queries you meet there, The Answer is Jesus.
“Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal live” John 4:13-14. Jesus is saying if you satisfy your thirst for answers from any other source but Him, you will thirst for answers again. But if you come to Him, the Spring of Living Waters, He will satisfy the thirst because He is the Answer. He won’t just satisfy the thirst, He will make you an answer and from within you will flow springs of living water quenching other people’s thirst. “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life” John 10:10. These are the direct words of Jesus. So stop and ask yourself, ‘Am I experiencing a rich and satisfying life?’ If the answer is not yes, you need to re-align your life and make Jesus The Answer. Jesus is the answer to a rich and satisfying life. There is nothing wrong with wanting to live a rich and satisfying life. Jesus says that is His objective, to make sure you have a rich and a satisfying life.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I enthrone You. Let every question in my life find its answer in You alone so that my life will rich and satisfying, in Jesus Name.
