Mirror Image
“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation” Col.1:15
Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. In other words, even though God is spirit, but when you look at God who you would see, is Jesus. If there were a mirror large enough to capture God’s face and God stands in front of it, His mirror image would be Jesus. Jesus existed before anything else [Col.1:17]. The reason why I can confidently say that the demons that have been troubling you will bow today is because before they were created, Jesus existed.
Jesus created everything. “Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together” Col.1:16-17. Which means if Jesus releases His hold everything crumbles. Every demonic influence in your life will crumble totally. When I was growing up, way before I gave my life to Jesus, I used to be a little bit rascally and I used to love to challenge things. My parents could drop a basket and I would not touch it. But the moment someone says nobody should touch that basket it triggers something in me. It becomes a problem and I would not rest until I touch that basket and even see what is inside it; until I met Jesus. There is this hierarchy in my family and I am not the first child; and that meant I did not enjoy the privileges the first-born would naturally enjoy and that just used to eat me up. We all used to eat from the same plate back in the day and the senior gets to pick first when it comes to the meat. We all have to wait for him to pick the choicest piece and in my heart I would wrestle with it. Why? What has he done to deserve it or is it because he is first? And it was because as far as my mind could see at that time, he had done nothing to deserve it. So on some occasions, the rebellion would brew in my heart while we are eating I would watching everyone and when they least expect it, I would take the biggest piece of meat, throw it in my mouth and run away. They would catch me, try to get it out of my mouth but by then it’s already in my stomach. And all that was because I thought that he didn’t deserve it. But Jesus deserves the honor, He deserves the glory, He deserves the praise. We are not just to give it to Him because we are subjects. We are giving it to Him because we have searched from the North to the South, to the East and to the West and found there is no one like Jesus.
Prayer [song]: You deserve the glory and the honour. Lord I lift my hands in worship as I bless Your Holy Name (2x). You are great, You do miracles so great, there is no one else like You. There is no one else like You (2x). Amen!
