Who Matters?

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honour God with your body” 1 Cor.6:19-20

You know who you are when you know whose you are. You do not belong to yourself, you are a child of God bought with the price the price of the Blood of Jesus. You are valuable to God. For a lot of us our lives will change completely if we wake up pronouncing and knowing, I am a child of God. I am deeply loved by God. I am accepted by God. He has a plan for my life. He put me here on earth with a purpose for my life. I am significant. My life cannot be cut short because I am the child of The Most High God. That is who you are and that is whose you are. The only way to handle stress is to know whose you are otherwise known as the principle of identification and we see that in the life of Jesus. So as you go about your plans for the year, your plans for your life, family, career, remember whose you are. And as every system in this world attempts to bring stress upon you, know who you are. “God has paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world” 1 Cor.7:23.

The second step to living stress free like Jesus is know who you are trying to please. When you know who you are, you must know who you are trying to please. It is called the Principle of Dedication. Lets look at the life of Jesus again, “I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will” Jn.5:30. Jesus is saying I am not out to please anybody. I am out to please God that sent Me. God sent me I am here to please God. That just removes a whole lot of stress from your life. When you know who you are trying to please it makes your life stressless. I know who I am and I know who I am trying to please. You need to know who you are and who you are trying to please. Why, because you can’t please everyone. Even God cannot please everyone – do you know that? God the Maker of the heavens and earth cannot please everyone, what makes you think you can do what God cannot do? You cannot please everyone. Man was in trouble so God sent Jesus to come through a virgin [Mary] to die for you and I. Guess what? I have friends today that will say how can a virgin conceive? Why would God make a virgin conceive? There is nothing like God. God says what else do you want Me to do? God cannot please everyone. God blesses someone, God blessed your spouse and you are upset because it was not you. Meanwhile, if He touches the husband has He not touched the wife too? God says, how can I please you?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for reminding me that it is all about You. Let this truth birth healing and deliverance in my life and my worship, in Jesus Name.
