Transferred
“Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault” Col.1:22 [emphasis added]
You are holy! Say it aloud, I am holy. Some people cannot even say it because they struggle with it. Do not struggle with it. Perhaps you are not yet holy but you will be today, in Jesus Name. You are holy and blameless! As you stand before Him, you stand without a single fault. This truth is just so mind blowing. But the mind says, see who you used to be, see what you have done, you are a bad person because you have done xyz. God is saying to you, you stand before God blameless, without a single fault! And I stand blameless. Some of us are comfortable with saying we have a few faults but God is saying you have no fault. God is looking at you and you are faultless. Why, because He is not looking at you, He is looking through the cross of Calvary and He is seeing Jesus’ blameless sacrifice for you and I. Paul was saying to the Colossians, when you come to God you are faultless before Him. So what you can or cannot do does not determine your standing with God. Paul puts it this way, “For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins” Col.1:13-14 [emphasis added]. Hallelujah to Jesus! We have been transferred. Imagine you used to live in location ‘A’ and they transfer you to Location ‘J’. Then let’s say a crisis happens in location ‘A’ and they are looking for you to destroy you, will they find you? Why? You have been transferred! Being triumphant as a child of God has nothing to do with pride. No demon can harass me because I have been transferred. I used to be under the influence and powers of darkness, I knew when they could harass me and they were harassing me. But I also knew when the tide turned, I knew when the power changed hands. And that is what Paul was saying to the church in Colossae, you have been transferred you are not under the influence of Satan any longer. Christians that continue in sin is a misnomer. You know why? It is such Christians that do not know who they are. Christians that have been transferred to location ‘J’ but keep going back to location ‘A’ by night bus. Something is wrong with that. And it all borders on your understanding; Sometimes people just do not know they can be free from oppression, from the kingdom and powers of darkness [all the thrones, powers, principalities]. All of them have no influence over you anymore for one reason and the reason is you have been transferred. This is the beauty of grace and this is the Gospel!
Prayer [song]: We are grateful, O Lord. Hallelujah! We are grateful, O Lord. Hallelujah! For all You have done for us. Hallelujah! We are grateful, O Lord. Amen.
