Why Not?

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me? Jer.32:27 [NKJV]

I am praying today that God will stretch forth His hands in your life and do the miraculous in every area of your life in the Mighty Name of Jesus. However it is noteworthy that some people still do not believe in miracles and some people do not pray for miracles. So the question is why don’t people pray for miracles? There are three main reasons why people do not pray for miracles and we are going to learn from them because you and I must pray for miracles and we are going to see miracles happen in our life in Jesus Name. So please release your faith and by God’s grace there will be no hindrance in your way.

The first reason people do not pray for miracles is they just do not believe. Some just do not believe, they do not believe there is a God. Those that believe there is a God do not believe God is interested in them. Some people say miracles are in the Old Testament and so God will not do miracles in this present day, which is a lie. I have seen miracles upon miracles in my life and guess what I am not referring to the miracle of sleeping and waking up. The second reason people do not pray for miracles is they do not want to be disappointed. And the third reason people do not pray for miracles is they do not want to make God look bad. They are trying to shield God from disgrace because they feel that if people know that they have asked God for a miracle and God does not do it, God is going to look like a weak God so they prefer not to engage God like that. But God is able to defend Himself. The Word of God says those that know their God will be strong will do exploit [Dan.11:32]. In fact sometimes we Christianize it by saying things like, if it is your will O God! What we are doing in essence is giving God an escape route. We do not step out and say like Esther said if I perish I perish, we do not step out and say God will heal me! So am I saying that every miracle I have asked God for God has done? No but I am still believing He will do them. I am not going to give up. I have seen enough to empower me to believe Him for the ones He has not done yet. What I am simply saying is this, faith that is rooted in God can handle a no from God. Faith that is rooted in God can handle a not yet from God because your faith is rooted in God and not in God’s ability, or in His hands, or in His gifts, or in His miracles. Your faith is rooted in His person.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that my faith will be planted and rooted deeply in You and You alone. Grow me in faith and praying boldly, in Jesus Name.
