Walking On Water

“But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water” Matt.14:27-28

What does it mean to walk on water? God causing you to walk on water means God making a way where there seems to be no way. Remember the children of Israel? When you are traveling and you meet water do you continue? You should not except you can swim. God causing you to walk on water means that God will make a way where there seems to be no way in your life in Jesus Name. Perhaps you are reading this today and there are situations in your life you are wondering how you would get out of or how you even found yourself in that situation in the first place. God has brought you there for a purpose because He is going to make a way for you even where there seems to be no way. To walk on water means that journeys that will normally destroy other people will be safe passage for you. Yet I am declaring to you today that you will do impossible things with ease and the people that try to copy you will get into trouble. People will be wondering how come you had safe passage and the beauty of it is that many times even you cannot explain because you do not know. At some point in our church history, when we first moved into our land, we were worshipping on a swamp. The wind almost blew away the tents from over our head but today God has taken us far beyond all that. How did we get to where we are today? I do not know the details and sometimes I get scared. So do not try to copy us, just a word of advice. Walking on water means doing the seemingly impossible. I am saying by the Spirit of God, I am telling you what will begin, you will begin to do things that no one in your generation has been able to do before. And you will remember that the Word of God has come to pass.

So how do we walk on water? It is in the Bible, the first thing is to pray bold prayers. You want to walk on water? Ask God for bold things, make bold requests. Do not be shy or timid. God is not afraid, you should not be. There was storm and the boat was probably still shaking, everybody saw Jesus and thought it was a ghost. What was Peter’s request for crying out loud? Shouldn’t he have said Jesus calm the storm and quickly get on the boat so that we can go and that would have been a miracle. Or shouldn’t he have just said if you want to keep walking on water keep walking but let our own boat get to its destination. That is a logical thing, which is probably what I would say. But what did Peter say? If it is you tell me to come on the water. That is so out of this world.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, please make a way for me where there is no way and help me do the impossible, in Jesus Name.
