Be Wise

“Along the way they found an Egyptian man in a field and brought him to David. They gave him some bread to eat and water to drink… for he hadn’t had anything to eat or drink for three days and nights. Before long his strength returned” 1 Sam.30:11-12

The fact that God has spoken to you does not mean you do not need intelligence. David and his men returned to find that the Amalekites had raided their homes, burned everything to the ground and taken away their wives and children [Please read 1 Sam.30]. And of course, David turned to the Lord, shall I pursue? Will I overtake? Will I recover? And God said, pursue, you will surely overtake and without fail you will recover all. That was a Word from God but as they journeyed, David met a little Egyptian boy.

David could have ignored that little Egyptian boy but David understood that the fact that God has spoken to you, does not mean you do not need intelligence. So he fed the boy, took care of him, and David was able to gather intelligence from the boy which he used to recover all. There is no recovery without intelligence. God has said you will recover but you still need to gather intelligence.

Who is that person that you can easily despise? The intelligence for your total recovery may be with that person. That is how God works. That next level that you desire and can envision financially, spiritually, in your business, and in your home, there is somebody you already know that has the intelligence that will take you to that next level. You may even be sitting beside the person right now. Many of us have treated such people shabbily because just by looking at them in the physical, it does not appear as if we can gain anything from them. But what you do not know is that he or she has the information you need for victory.

Which is why you have to treat everybody nicely. And it does not end there; you also have to be able to ask the right questions. You are sitting beside someone that has gone thousands of kilometers ahead of you spiritually for example. If you do not ask the right questions, all you would have achieved is sitting down with them and nothing else. Be wise; stop treating people shabbily no matter who they are or how they may appear. Secondly, just be nice. And finally, learn how to ask the right questions.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, teach me to love my neighbor as I love myself. Lord fill me with Your love so that I can love others also, in Jesus Name.
