Sacrifice

Prov.20:²⁵ “Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost.”

The GAP between where you are and where you ought to be cannot be bridged without sacrifice. Jesus says that, which of you wanting to build a house does not sit down and first count the cost. Can I do this with these resources or do I need to do it in phases? The truth is that every God given destiny cannot be attained without sacrifice. Sacrifice releases the power that enthrones and makes ordinary men worthy of extraordinary privileges.

Sacrificial men are governing [ruling] men. God wants you to rule, so you have to be sacrificial because your sacrifice shows your commitment. Your sacrifice for your destiny shows how committed you are to that destiny. Your sacrifice is the measure of your commitment to greatness. A lot of people are not committed to greatness; they are just interested in greatness. Commitment is different from interest because if you are committed, you will always give it whatever it takes.

I was walking down a street with several shops on it. And in one of the display windows, I saw a wristwatch. But when I got close enough, I saw it was priced at twenty-four thousand pounds. Even though I was interested, I was still able to walk away because I was not committed to owning it. For those who are committed to that life style, they will be willing to sell everything they own, just to pay for that watch.

But when it comes to your destiny, God wants you to pay the price. Guess what? God is depending on your sacrifice to establish your destiny. Heaven is waiting for your sacrifice but heaven yields to the highest bidder, to the person that will pay the price. For instance, during a corporate move in church, everyone had been asked to fast for some days. Opting out of the fast translates to not paying the price. I pray that you will not opt out and that you will pay the price for your preferred future. Miracles always happen outside of your comfort zone. There is a price you have to pay.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please help me identify the required sacrifice for my next level and empower me to give it all it takes, in Jesus Name. Amen!
