Fundamentals

Rev.1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Fundamentally, there is nothing wrong with logic or with reasoning. Have you not noticed that many great men of God are very intelligent people? C.S Louis was a genius. The Wesley brothers had flawless results and they went on to do great things. Right here in Nigeria, Pastor Adeboye has a Ph.D. in mathematics. Pastor Kumuyi is also a great mathematical mind. In God’s Favourite House, our very own Rev. Kole Olowofoyeku is a genius. So it is obvious that God does not have a problem with people being brainy; after all, He gave man a brain. God has a problem with anything you do not submit to Him including your brain.

When logic is based on only facts, it is limiting. But when it is based on the Word of God, it is limitless. And when your faith is unleashed, your story can be rewritten. When people say there is no way, just laugh because there would be a way. When men are saying there is a casting down, you and I will say there is a lifting up. Are we in denial? Not at all, we are just bringing a superior power to play – a power that is stronger than the economy of the nation.

Heb.11:6 “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards [with miracles] those who sincerely seek him” [with emphasis]. The issue of believing God is so fundamental that you cannot even get anything from God if you do not believe God. You have to believe God. As you hear His Word faith is birth. I have discovered that life has a lot of uncertainties. In life, uncertainty is unavoidable but doubting is a choice.

I go through seasons of uncertainties but if I am going to doubt God, it’s in my hands. I go through seasons that I do not understand what is going on but trusting or doubting God is in my hands. There are a lot of unbelieving believers. The first thing you and I must do to enter into what God has for us is to believe. Just believe!

Prayer [song]: All that I am, all that I have I lay them down before You, oh Lord. All my regrets, all my acclaims, the joy and the pain, I’m making them Yours. Lord, I offer my life to You. Everything I’ve been through, use it for Your glory… Amen!
