In Christ Alone
Josh 23: 11 “So be very careful to love the Lord your God.”
The truth is that you will never find a job in which you will be one hundred percent fulfilled. Why? For the simple reason that God never intended for you to be one hundred percent fulfilled at work. Shocking, right? Even if you find your sweet spot, that job that intersects perfectly with your call or has been swallowed up by your call, you still will not be a hundred percent fulfilled. And it is because that is the way you and I have been designed.
No job, even if you are operating in your sweet spot, can satisfy you one hundred percent because after a while, there will still be something missing. Why? It is because God also wants you to find fulfilment in your family life. If you sacrifice your family life, even though you have found your sweet spot, you will discover that you will still be unfulfilled. Regardless of whether you are single or married, there is a family connection that God wants you to have. God also wants you to have fulfilment in your relationships with other people [Christians and non-Christians]. So even if you find your sweet spot, you need to find fulfilment in family and fulfilment in other people.
It will also shock you to know that God also wants you to find fulfilment in leisure. They say, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!” And it is so true because even if you find your sweet spot and you do not find fulfilment in leisure, there is going to be a challenge. Another area where God wants you to find fulfilment is in ministry. Everybody has a ministry; everybody! Yes, you have a ministry and the third trip of The Journey can help you discover the ministry you are shaped for; so take the class. Even if you find your sweet spot and you do not find that ministry that God has called you to fulfil, you would not be fulfilled. Your ministry could be serving in your local church or outside your local church.
God wants you to find fulfilment in work, family, people, leisure, and in ministry. However, even if you find fulfilment in these five areas, you can still be unfulfilled if you do not have fulfilment in God.
Prayer [song]: I love You, more than anything. I love You, more than anyone. I love You, O Lord, I give my heart to You. Amen!
