Peace & Prosperity

Ps.46:¹⁰ “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honoured by every nation. I will be honoured throughout the world” (emphasis added).

Much more than we would like, a lot of things are outside our control and most of them we did not even choose for ourselves. However, we just need to be still. Our peace of mind does not come because we are in control but because we have accepted that God is in control. We have peace of mind not  because we can control everything but because we know that our God is in control of everything. Rom. 8:²⁸ (Voice) “We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan.”

The third key to peace is Gratitude. Just be grateful! Gratitude has a way of making you peaceful. The reason many people are in turmoil is because of ingratitude. Just stop, consider everything in light of God’s goodness and be grateful. Count your blessings and name them one by one. Someone said, “You can be unhappy, or you can be grateful; you cannot be both”. You cannot be both unhappy and grateful at the same time, it does not and cannot work. When you are unhappy, you are ungrateful. When you are grateful, you cannot be unhappy. It is totally impossible.

The fourth key to peace is Banish Fear. What are you so afraid of? Has God ever failed? 1 John 4:¹⁸ “Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.” God wants you to know that, when you live in fear, it steals your peace. When you live in fear, it shows that you have not fully embraced perfect love, it shows you have not fully embraced God. God wants you to live a peaceful life and a peaceful life is an uncommon life. Embrace God, banish fear and His peace will flood your life and home.
