Full Front
Eph.6:18 “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” (emphasis added)
With every piece of God’s armor in place, when it is all said and done, you will still be standing. When the Bible says, “having done all, stand”, it does not mean, having done all then pull yourself together and stand. What the Bible is saying is, when you have every piece of God’s armor, “after the battle you will still be standing” because there is no part of your being that is pregnable by the enemy.
Since the enemy cannot penetrate any part of your life, you will still be on your feet. Your belt of truth in place, your breastplate of righteousness in place, your sandals of peace in place, your helmet of salvation in place, your shield of faith in place, and your sword of the Spirit in place. When you are fully clad and fully armored, there is no doubt about it, you will be standing after the battle. The beauty of our walk with God is, it is not guess-work.
Some schools of thought say that God’s armor is frontal. This means the armor provides covering for the front. They say that there is no piece of the armor covering the back for two reasons. Firstly, the Christian is never to turn his or her back on the enemy – We are to face the enemy in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Do not turn your back on the enemy, there is no protection for your back. Face it and according to God’s Word, when it is all said and done, you will be standing, and the enemy will be under your feet. You will trample upon all the powers of the enemy and nothing will hurt you, in Jesus Name.
The second reason is, when you stand facing the enemy, another Christian is protecting your back. Eccl. 4:12 “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer….” We are to stand back to back in battle. You cannot do life alone; join a life group, get into a community of believers, make friends in the church. So that you will always have people watching your back. No matter how sharp your eyes are, you cannot see the back of your head. Try it, you will discover it is impossible. None of us is as strong as all of us. Eph.6:18 “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion…” Praying in the Spirit is praying in tongues, praying in the Holy Ghost. In fact, if you cannot pray in tongues, praying at all times will be almost impossible. If you are not baptized with the evidence of speaking in tongues, I urge you to desire the gift of the Holy Spirit. God wants to give you this gift more than you desire it.
Prayer: Father, I declare that at all times and on every occasion, I will be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, in Jesus Name. Amen!
