Immanuel

Matt.1:^22-23 “All of this occurred to fulfil the Lord’s message through his prophet: “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”

I pray that even in the remaining days of this year, that God will do in your life that which eyes have not seen, that which ears have not heard and that which has not even begun to enter the hearts of men. I pray that God will open a Book of remembrance for you and everything that God has for you in 2020 will be delivered to you. I pray that God will give you the capacity to take possession of every single item, to the praise and glory of His holy Name. I believe very strongly that what God is saying to us in this season is Immanuel, God with us. When we look at the times that Mary and Joseph experienced, and we look at what God has said, sometimes there appears to be a mismatch.

Joseph and Mary probably thought so at some point, He said His Name is Immanuel, God with us. God with us and they want to kill this baby? God with us and they were running helter-skelter? God was with them, and they had to be refugees in Egypt. In fact, they were carrying God and escaping with God and God was with them. Sometimes, when we look at our lives, we expect something different. But God is saying, with what you have, if you would pay attention, you would notice that I am with you. I am announcing to you today that God is with them. I want you to also announce this truth aloud to yourself and everything within you, God is with me! Like Joseph, it may appear as though you are the one rescuing God even though God is with you. Have you felt that way before? As though God is a baby and you have to escape with Him to Egypt otherwise, He would be killed. God wants us to calm our nerves this season and approach Christmas and 2021 with confidence. God wants us to close out this year with the confidence that God is with us.

Please read Matt.1:20-23. The background to this is that Joseph had a girl he wanted to marry, and this girl was a good girl, or so he thought. Until she told him she was pregnant, and Joseph was like, how can you be pregnant, I thought we were together. And Mary, Joseph’s girl says, it is the Holy Ghost that did it. Obviously, Joseph was confused. For the men that are not married, if the lady you plan to get married to comes to tell you that she is pregnant, and it is the Holy Spirit. How would you take it? Would you be happy? Would you believe her? The Bible says Joseph planned to put her away quietly and move on. That is where our story picks up from.

Prayer: Father, I am grateful for the assurance of Your presence with me and Your heart towards me. I declare that for the rest of my life, God is with me, in Jesus Name. Amen!
