In Little

Revelation 3:8 “I know what you do; I know that you have a little power; you have followed my teaching and have been faithful to me. I have opened a door in front of you, which no one can close.” (GNT, emphasis added).

We began to look at faithfulness yesterday and the first thing about faithfulness is that God Is Looking For Faithful People. Do you know God’s location? It is always easier for God to find you because He knows your location. God is deliberately, visibly, and actively taking the initiative to look for faithful people that He can bless. Picture this; God has blessings, and He is looking for people to bless every day. He wants to pour out His loaded blessings into their lives. But guess what? It is faithful people that God is looking for.

The second thing about faithfulness dovetails from that and it is the fact that Faithful People Are Hard To Find. Faithful people are rare. Proverbs 20:6 “Everyone talks about how loyal and faithful he is, but just try to find someone who really is!” (GNT, emphasis added). Many people say, ‘Pastor, I am loyal’, but when the chips are down, it is a different story. The point is faithful people are rare and difficult to find. Psalm 53:2-3 “God looks down from heaven, searching among all mankind to see if there is a single one who does right and really seeks for God. But all have turned their backs on him…” (LB). In other words, all have proven faithless. I pray that God will find you faithful in the Name of Jesus. I pray that the King of Glory, the Maker of the heaven and the earth will find you faithful in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

How do I pay attention to the things that God wants me to pay attention to, the things that can grow my faithfulness? We will look at five additional things about faithfulness. The first is you need to realize that God Uses Little Things To Test Your Faithfulness. Luke 16:10 “Whoever is faithful in small matters will be faithful in large ones; whoever is dishonest in small matters will be dishonest in large ones.” (GNT, emphasis added). God uses little things to test your faithfulness. The big things in life can reveal your leadership, but leadership is built on the small things in life, not the big things. Therefore, it is the small things that nobody sees that determine the big things that everybody wants. In your career, life, home, finances, and health it is the small things that nobody sees that determine the big things that everybody wants.

Nobody sees you alone in your living room working out. Nobody sees when you discipline yourself and manage the portions you eat, even though you want to eat much more. Yet everybody sees your fit and slim body. They want to have it, but they refuse to let the burger go.

Prayer: Father, give me a loyal and faithful heart and help me prioritize faithfulness in every area of my life and my walk with You, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
