Friend
Matthew 26:48-50 “The traitor, Judas… came straight to Jesus. “Greetings, Rabbi!” he exclaimed and gave him the kiss. Jesus said, “My friend, go ahead and do what you have come for.” Then the others grabbed Jesus and arrested him.” (emphasis added)
We will kick off today’s devotional from yesterday’s final thought. And that is the fact that God wants you to prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2). But the enemy has a different plan for you. Anyone on the side of the enemy becomes a conspirator, an enemy.
Anyone on God’s side becomes a friend. This is why Jesus would say to Peter, ‘Get thee behind me Satan’ (Matthew 16:23). But guess what Jesus said to Judas, the number one conspirator, in the Garden of Gethsemane? Jesus saw Judas and called him a friend. This was the same Judas who conspired with the enemy to sell Jesus and sold Him out.
If someone can sell Jesus out and betray Him, as good and as blameless as Jesus was, why are you surprised that people could betray you? Betrayers are disloyal people. Situations always just expose the disloyalty in their hearts. Do not be surprised, they are the Judas’ of this world. But the point is this, when Jesus saw Judas in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus looked at Judas and said, “My friend…”. Why would Jesus say to Peter, His very loyal friend, satan and say to Judas, friend? It is simple. At that time, even though Judas was a conspirator, he was in line with what the Father wanted done. So, the things that the enemy is throwing your way to destroy you, they think they are after your destiny. Guess what? They are actually helping heaven to bring your destiny to pass. That is so big.
That is why the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:8 “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” (KJV). So, the wisdom that we speak is hidden from the princes of this world, and they do not understand it. If they knew, they would have left you the way you are. But because they do not understand it, they have attacked you and betrayed you. Now, God is bringing the best out of you, in the Name of Jesus. So, you need a conspirator. You need them, and you will triumph over them in Jesus Name.
Remember, you need five types of relationships in your life to be limitless and to truly become all that God has called you to be. You need a Conspirator, Constituent, Comrade, Confidant, and Commander all these relationships are represented in 2 Kings 4:1-4. Over the past few days, we have been looking at and learning about the Conspirator. You need Conspirators in your life.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for the conspirators that You have allowed to come into my life. I decree that they will only perform God’s agenda in my life, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
