Luke 17:17-19 “Jesus: Didn’t all ten receive the same healing this fellow did? Where are the other nine? Was the only one who came back to give God praise an outsider? (to the Samaritan man) Get up, and go your way. Your faith has made you healthy again.” (The Voice)
Your commander is not against you. Your commander is not just for what you are for. Your commander is not just against what you are against. Your commander is not just for you. Your commander instructs you. People can be for what you are for,
but they do not have that instruction that will take you to the next level. People can be against what you are against, but they do not have that instruction that will take you to the next level. People can actually be for you, but they still do not have that instruction that can take you to the next level. Why? That is not their role. But God bless you if you have a commander that is a confidant.
2 Kings 4:7 “Then she came and told the man of God…” (KJV). It is important to note something very important from this scripture and that is, you are not the one who gave yourself the first instruction. So, you need to let the person who gave you the instruction know what has happened. When you have a heart of gratitude, you go back to where you got the instruction from, where you got the blessings from. Of the ten lepers, for example, ten were healed but one came back and gave a testimony. And Jesus said, ‘You are whole’. Then Jesus gave him another instruction that took him to a higher level.
The woman could just have given some of the oil to her neighbours in appreciation for their kindness. She could also have cooked with some of the oil. She could even have taken the oil to the creditor and sorted out the debt but not maximizing it. And that would have made a mess of things. However, she went back to Elisha and told the man of God, ‘I have done what you have said, and this is the miracle that occurred.’ And then the next instruction came. You do not get the next instruction until you go back with the fruit of the first instruction. Huge. Many people live and die on the first instruction. But usually, it is the second instruction that brings wholeness, that brings abundance, that releases you into your wealthy place.
2 Kings 4:7 “…And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.” (KJV). Elisha gave her very clear instructions. Do you know what ‘sell the oil’ means? It means, ‘return those vessels empty’. Do not start a charity. Sell the oil! There is so much more packed into this instruction. We did a series on this a while ago and it is available on the GFH Podcast titled, “Money. Money. Money.” Find it and listen to it.
Prayer: Father, help me consistently have a grateful heart, and I pray that this heart of gratitude will unlock Your next level for me consistently, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
